Panic Bars
We carry top graded panic bars that will fit onto all of the doors in your office or commercial building; we even have field sizable panic bars in our inventory to make certain they bar will fit every time. As the name implies, these are bars that attached across the center of doors to serve as a fail-safe means of opening them. They are often required by building codes intended to insure occupants' safety because they provide such a foolproof and effective means of opening exit doors in an emergency. Unlike typical locks, the panic bar combines both the unlocking and opening function in a single mechanism and both of these functions are activated simultaneously when the bar is pushed on. The panic bar does not require any finesse to be opened; they will open a door after simply being pushed onto or even crashed into (which is why you will also sometimes see them referred to as crash bars).
Many of our panic bars come prepared to be your fire door mechanism, complete with all the required signage, which comes in English but is also available in a variety of other languages as well. They are easily connected to fire alarm systems; we also carry a model with a 100 decibel Piezo alarm, which is customizable both in terms of arming delay and auto rearming. These devices are also handicapped accessible. We also offer devices to make your panic exit push bars free from the need for battery power, which will go the extra mile in guaranteeing everything will work smoothly in case of emergency. These devices are conveniently designed to power multiple units at once. If you would like a panic bar that is not intended for use on a fire door, we also carry keyed models that provide the security you will want for this application.
